caught this fat guy last night. he cut the inside of my female dogs back leg pretty bad, opened it up about 3'' and 3.5'' long. going to give her some penicillin in the pill form, about 500mg. what do you guys think?

That's a good hog with nice teeth. I use Durvet Pen-Aqueous you can get it at Tractor Supply. I give 2cc the first day and 1cc each day after and never had any problems with infection. I never suture or staple any cuts let them drain and heal from the inside out.

Nice hog. One time our vet gave us keflex 500mg. pills to give the dog, twice a day for a week.

If you can find this it works unreal  CHLORHEXIDINE SOLUTION BROAD SPECTRUM ANTIMICROBIAL SOLUTION I get from the vet by the gallon 4 table spoons per gallon spray on or wash the cut  made by Vet Solutions If you let heal with out stich this works really good for my dogs

thanks guys, i am going to try and see what i can find. i never staple anything up either. i got some stuff called granulex that i am going to try out also just want to let it heal for a couple of days before i spray that on.
