Went out tonight with Matt, Cuervo and Benito to one of our places we haven't hunted in a few months. Roaded the dogs for about three hours and were just about to give up when we decided to check a spot up close to the subdivision. Dogs worked the area for a while and kept circling a fenced in electrical sub-station. Finally my little Birdie dog opened up and Smiley and Cheyenne were right behind her. They had the hog bayed against the fence! We ran back to the truck and grabbed Jewels and Clifford. Matt sent her in and the hog jumped in the canal. Well, it was Matt's turn to swim, so he went across and stuck the hog.  Grin

Not a monster but all the dogs hunted their tails off tonight.

Yeah this was a fun hunt.  Couldn't have went swimming all those hot nights, had to wait till it cooled off.  That water was COLD and moving pretty good and about chest deep in the middle of the canal.  After the dogs hunted as hard as they did I was glad that they were able to come up with a hog at the end of the day.  Hope we don't have to swim for the next one  Wink

yeah that was pretty fun, but now that the dogs have that hog taste back in their mouths maybe we could go get a hold of those dang ghost hogs, well at least it sounds good

Matt,
We are gonna have to get you off the LITE beer and bump you up to somthing a little more fatening.  IT isnt cold until you have to break the ice to get to the hog.

Or Maybe the EAST TEXAS HOG hunters are used to it being so hot that you will all catch hypothermia at the first sign of weather below 70f?

At least when it gets cold you dont have to worry about the gators!

James that is too funny, God knows I could gain 25 lbs and you prolly not even tell it and my lack of body fat does leave me a little colder then I would like at times but I am telling you for what ever reason that water was COLD.  Even the dogs were all shivering after they got out.  If I ever need to break ice of water to get into it I am going to skin my GLOCK cause my skinny a$$ would die half way to em  Grin

Matt I feel you on that one brother!

For some reason I normally only need to swim when the temp is below 55f but my fat a$$ gets so hot when I am hunting that it normally feels good!
