Unloaded the dogs monday night and ran them along the rice fields. After a little bit they caught the first hog in the field. We went in and made the stick and the dogs shot of into the brush line again and ran another hog out. They ran a good ways before they got it stopped we could here them bay and break. Meanwhile we were loading the catch dog up and the hog. Someone hollars about a hog in the field and sure enough one was layed up so we eased out there and cut the catch dog loose and she ran right by him in the tall rice.. ohwell. So we get the bulldog back and then we here another one in the woods abvout 10 feet to our right so we eased in there and busted him out in a little clearing and my bulldog hit but didnt connect and away both went.In a few minuites she didnt come back so i tracked to her and grabed her up to head to the other bay and then i heard the news. My dog was cut bad along with all the others so we made a beeline to the hog but by the time we got there it was to late and the hog had broke again..But before it broke it did manage to get a piece of our 2 buddies ..flipped one up in the air and charged the other....He had a bad attitude about the whole thing. So we loaded up the dogs that were injured and caught the rest and left. So we didnt get any pics of the 1 hog but it was a exciting hunt..Sandy is doing great after a rough couple days and the other dogs are sore but ok....Were gonna hit them agin sat so maybe we will have a little better luck this time around..

Glad the dogs are Ok. Hope you catch him next round. Justin and I got on a boar Friday and didn't come out quite so lucky with one of my bay dogs. I'll leave it at that. We'll return to that bottom land soon, and hopefully we can get on him again, and administer a little payback. Sounds crazy, but I sometimes wish we could just catch some sows and not have to worry about the teeth!

Hope Sandy's doing good Clay. Sorry to hear she got cut bad. She's tough so I'm sure she'll pull through fine.

Sorry to hear you lost one Chad... hopefully you'll catch him.

It comes and goes. You'll catch nothing but boars for a while and then it will be nothing but sows and shoats... then you'll want a big boar again!
