So most of you know i have been hunting with dogs since i was kid, and have always depending on my friends having the dogs.  Well last year i decided to get my own, so i just wanted to share some pictures.  i am very proud of there progress and all are hunting well, except for Lexi who is not old enough yet.  Ringo my lacy dog struck a pig his first night out.  so here they are with there new home.  They are all silent dogs.

Doc is a 1/2 cat 1/2 redbone.  This dog is owned by my wife.  11 months old (very gritty and just loves to hunt)

Ringo (aka fatty) is a registered blue lacy.  11 months old  (struck a pig his first night out and is very gritty as well)

Ike is my first dog.  1/2 bmc 1/2 plott.  11 months old.  long range, very gritty.

Lexi is a boxer from my own breeding stock.  She is actually about 9 months old and growing like a weed(when i first posted this i don't know why i thought she was younger then that, but i looked back in my books and she is almost 9 months).  Time to take her to a pen!!  She hates pigs.  i haven't let her catch yet but she wants to so bad.  we call her crack baby too, bc she is just a crazy dog and has no fear.

There new home

thanks guys.  yes A-khunter i really like Ike and Ringo a lot, but when it comes to hunting Doc is fun to watch.  That dog goes 90 to nothing with every step he takes and nose on the ground.  I really hope they turn out ok.  i put lots of time into them, either way it's been fun raising them.

Good looking dogs!

I especially like Doc but Ike catches an eye also.

thanks to all.  i tell you what even if they don't hunt it's made it a little different just having them on the ground.  i find myself getting to bay's faster and being a little more alert.  I guess having dogs i have raised and feel like family makes all the difference.  It's been fun pot lickers, strike dogs, help dogs, RCD, or whatever they turn out to be.  My wife and I enjoy hunting together and owning our own dogs.  We have good friends and fun times almost every weekend.  What more could you ask for.

Keep them on hogs and they'll do you right.  Fatty needs to back up from the buffet. LOL  Grin

lol i know he does.  i need to put him on diet.  he still runs good, but that dang dog just stays fat.  i don't know what it is.  i feed all the dogs the same amount.  the other ones are growing so fast it's hard to keep them fat, but he could stay fat on nothing.
