I train my dogs to work as a team you won't see one dog trying to do it all as they move you can see the dogs rotate off the head as they move at first you see the red and whites on the body and working there way up this way he can not gain advantage as the dogs work the head look at the dogs work the body as the boar moves they will work there way to the head as the dogs rotate I feel that this method keeps my vet bill down since I started this way my vet bills are much less http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWGMW8I1IDc |

no vests; stop showing the videos before you get one hurt. they need to lock on and stay locked on turning loose you will get dogs killed that way.
I admitt you seem to be a good dog trainer they have good handles but those dogs will get hurt and killed.

why should he stop showing the videos? nobody tells you you cant post because they dont like the style that your dog bays or the way your bulldog catches. and obviously no vest is the way that works for him, i wouldnt personally do it with my dog but get off the mans back. it

boys teach your dogs to handel the hog you wont need a vest I been pulling hogs for years the main dog in that vid is over 6 yr how many do you have 6 yr old main grab dog NO!!!!!!!!!! cuts only one dogs has scars she is old school grab NO GOOD you never will see a vest on my dogs I guss I will show more on how I train smart grab dogs ma be I can change your mind

and as far as locking down no let go this dog I will cul the pack must work togather as they move I hunt in a lot of cliffs if they were to lock down in there first boar will most likeley kill them the dogs must think as one they will always work him in a circle keeping his head on the ground if the dog wont release he will get in the way of the other dogs controling him

he has a good point, know 1 tells you haow to hunt your dogs unless you ask for it, plus its that guys dogs and money, not yours.I dont run a vust myself and know its only a matter of time b4 1 ends up cut or dead, but it seems when i hav a lil xtra $ and i get ready to order a vest the $ has got to go to somethn more meaningful, like fuel or rent or somthn that doesnt leave me with the $ for a vest.

u asked 4 opinions ure gettin em i dont care how many bulldogs r on a pig with no vest 1 will get killed 1 day maybe thats all youll ever lose hopefully one day u r gonna cross the wrong pig and hes gonna stick 1 of ure dogs if not more its ure deal hunt an train however u want post wutever u want i dont care i have had cut dogs but none killed so im gonna hunt my way 3 bay dogs an 2 vested and collared pits just dont get mad when u ask 4 an opinion and then get some that u dont like i agree tj he should hunt an train however he wants let him do his thing his way i personally wouldnt buy a dog off u 428 i dont like ure style thats my opinion but dont let ppls opinion change u or ure style if ure catchin hogs then great just dont b surprised when u get 2 the hog one of these days and a dog or 2 dead

if you dont have the money to buy the equipment you need you shouldn't be hunting. If your dogs find and catch dogs for you, u need to atleast get them a vest to lessen the chance of getting cut. jmo.

Why do people worry about how others hunt their dogs??? Just as many get cut and killed with a vest or cut collar than ones with out... just a little added protection. There's several reasons people don't vest their dogs... heat and water being two of them. You hunt the way you like and i'll hunt the way I like.  |

Hey big ALOHA for all you guys input I read it all but this is not my first hunt I have had many dogs killed before NO dogs would even reach 2yr until I started training for the fight for the first time I have dogs 3 to 6 yr old I know something must be working Im getting it from both sides here the guys say well you know hunters will be hunters Many guys are chipping in to send me Im looking forward to lighting one up in Texas

I enjoyed watching the video... Thanks. I think that it would be a good asset to you if you had one of those dogs that would latch on to the rear or tail end of that hog... that way the hog would have sat down and probably would not have continued to push through the woods as far at the bay/catch. Also I would imagine that a lot of the meat is damaged due to the dogs biting and then letting go to get a new bite. If a catch dog takes a hold and latches on to the ear or head and doesn't let go, I recon that there would be less meat damaged vs all the nip-nip marks all along the body and front shoulder. just me $.02 worth, no harm intended.  |

Your right about the damage on the front shoulders sometimes I lose allot meat But as far as dogs hitting the rear I prefer to keep my dogs on the head I want them to give and take in case Im a long time in getting there If my dogs have him for long enough time they will pull him down and kill him This style is very common in Hawaii

YA!!! I don't see any style in putting a tracking device on your dog and following the beep to me this is not hunting what skills do you need to fallow a beep what did you do before you got them?  ? or putting your dogs a mile out while you set on the road and I stop most hogs in the first 100 yards or less in far worse terrain your going to say your hogs are bigger but you have flat ground we do see 200 lbs HawaiIan hogs the larger the more easy to pin I read all your posts your only now looking at cross breeding and hunting styles Hawaii has been doing it for 30 years more so your view seems irrelevant to me |
