once heard of some men from around Batson that would tie a headlight on a wild donkey and turn him out and call gamewarden and then they would go to other side of river and poach while game warden was chasing that wild donkey with a headlight dont know how true but it sure was a funny story
if you had a bunch of extra money you could just put tracking collars under all there trucks and know where they are Tongue

Hey chopper just send a question to your state rep and mention the cops name. Just ask if it is legal for a cop to do that. Say your not sure who keeps calling and ask the state rep to look into it. I did an intern in a political office. If I made a call stuff happened and I was just an intern asking questions. Some cops think they are top of the food chain but they can be put in check real fast. I never drop names with a cop I just make phone calls and if they are really dumb they don't have a job. But it is not me, I am smart enough to call someone that wants to be re-elected and does not need some jerk making them look bad and loosing votes.

the spot we hunt we dont have to call a warden because we know he will be there anyway a cop has permission to deer hunt that spot and dosent like us out there so he puts his boys on us as much as possible hoping to catch us doing something wrong i have talked to more wardens in the last few months than i have in my whole life one told us just to not come out anymore the landowner was pissed said he has a problem with hogs not deer but he is weary of getting on bad side of cop so he dont kick him off it is sad that the cops are using tax payers money to guard there hunting spots and not service the whole community, just one case i could go on all day Afro Evil

Adam told me about that whole deal out there. Definitely a bad deal he has out there Shocked

I've recently established a repor with a local game warden and we both favor a courtesy call to let him know when and where I'm hunting.  I only view this practice as a positive gesture in my case.  While I know this doesn't apply to everyone and I've rarely witnessed it from others, I'm curious to know who all else is out there doing this...

It all depends on your local game warden. I used to call before varmint hunts and it only prompted some game wardens to come out and check us. Messed up my "call sets" on a few occasions.
The last time I called a game warden (a good acquaintance of mine) he got aggravated and asked me if I called the local DPS every time I planned to drive on the highway!
I got the message!
Game wardens enforce the same laws but have different MOA's. I dont bother them unless I have to. I expect them to do the same with me! Wink
I do recommend you get to know them. Most of them are really great guys and share the same love of the outdoors as we do.
