Almost all the red nose pitts Ive seen have alot of white on them. I have seen some the same color as yours come out of a pure rednose litter of pups. Its hard to classifie a breed unless u have papers and even the papers can be wrong. I say you have a Pitt period and a good lookin one at that.

Without a pedigree or DNA testing you can't say with certainty. But he sure looks like red, red nose to me. Just do a google search on Old Family Red Nose and see what pops up.

he is a red nose, and he looks like a more modern version, the old game dogs aint but about 40 lbs, lookin at how far apart his eyes are and how short his muzzle is indicates that he is not out of a preserved bloodline and he is does not meet the confirmation standard. when those dogs are on the big side usually they have ab or blue blood in them as they are bred to be big or just a color, and they LOSE the title true american pit bull terrier, as they are bred to be game and for performance,NOT LOOKS, thats why those big dogs are hit or miss. so my guess in different light his nose isnt red red so he could be a blue fawn. but, the greenwood family came up with the conformation standard off of their dads dog strider, so that guy must no what hes talkin about, because the sun is right on this dog, he kinda looks red red

but if they roll on the yard, that dont mean theyre gonna roll on the hunt, there are alot of good dogs that dont meet the conformation standard, ive seen alot where dogs dont get along on the yard, but as a pack they hunt well together because thet already know each other just like their ancestor the wolf. if he ctches well and dont quit, you may set yourself back tryin yer luck with a pup

thank you all for your insite. i done told a guy who is deployed in iraq he could buy him and i dont like goin back on my word, so does any1 hav a pup that looks like my dog that would be willing to sell? i know im taking a chance on startn over with a pup but i just dont want to take a chance and hunt the 2 dogs and when it comes time to catch, will they work together or will they break off the hog and go for each other or stay on the hog. the pit aint the 1 that starts the fights, he tries to avoid if possible, its my cur who does the startn. i sure would like to get another dog like what i got, just a pup no older than a yr, aint even gota b catchn yet. can any1 help me out?
