A friend of mine had one but I am not sure about the amount of blood. I don't know if it was 50-50, 75-25 but I think he had a little more Plott blood in him than cur.

His name was Hacksaw and the absolute best strike dog I have ever seen. Another thing I noticed was that he seemed to always find and strike the big boars.

I have a 1/4 plott in one of my curs and the only thing that i dont like about her is that she will bark a lil when she first hits a real hot track.

These are my Plott/Cur pups. They are 4 1/2 months old and the bigger one is Plott/Cur/Leapord. This is the first time for the pups on a big pig in a pen and they look promising to me. The older dog has been in the woods about 6 times and him and another pup found their own hog last weekend. I like that cross. JMO

The majority of our pack is 1/2 Plott 1/2 BMC. Best of both worlds!  My favorite breed

A Plott breeder/bear hunter asked if I wanted to try a pup from an experimental X they tried. After seeing the breeding on both sides I couldnt say no.
She is only 8 months old in this picture.
I still dont know exactly what kind of dog she is going to be but I like what I see so far.

Thanks for the replies and pictures. I like the idea of this cross, some places that I hunt the pigs seem to travel much further than in some other spots. Maybe with some Plott mixed with my Curs I'de have some dogs with a bit more range and distance with plenty of stopping power and grit. Pity I'm in Australia and we don't have Plotts here.

... Might be something to look into.

Cheers.
