I invited Richard and Joseph down to make a hunt on sunday afternoon. I had a friend who is writing an article for a local publication on hog hunting. I was wanting to get him on a good hunt so we headed out to a honey hole of mine.

Richard's dogs barely even let my dogs hunt but they managed to slip in on a few of the hogs.  Grin

We casted the curs as we loaded our stuff and vested bull dogs.

Driving towards the curs........ the Jagds winded from the ranger. They decided to pick on the little guy. Shortly Richard's dogs rolled in and back out on the group ........as all the dogs caught another shoat. I caught the Jagds and the curs rolled out again.

From there it was the Richard Elfrez hog dog show. Grin Stryker had a small group of pigs bayed. We sent the heat in and tied the sow.

By the time we tied her and got back to the ranger, dogs were baying at 900 yards. We could hear the hogs rallying from there. We drove around closer to the bay. They had an aggressive group rallyed up and they were chasing dogs out of the small group of trees. Sent the catch in again and caught a good sow.

Bayed 200 yards down again. Sent the catch dogs in again and hit a double. My catch dog Jack had a rank little 175 lb boar that was backed up into a cave. He busted just as I was going to leg him....hitting me and a few dogs on the way out.
Bocephus caught on his hog:

Little Boar Jack couldnt handle the first round:

200 yards down the dogs got him stopped again with Jack in tow and me not far behind. Got him stuck and called it a night with seven hogs and a few banged up dogs.

Yeah he do...He got worked by that little guy. It was backed into a small cave and  working him when I got there. SOB was rank though. He shut him down when the dogs stopped him the second time.
