The hunt started out rough trying to get everyone together but about 8:30 we met up and got rollin. Put the dogs on the ground at a place hbr previosly seen hogs but to na avail. So we picked up and went to a cut rice field and ran around it and it was empty also. Kept on the road towrds the next rice field . Then the dogs struck in a thicket on the west side of the field and started baying. We get on hogs pretty regular at this spot but they hit the bayou and there gone. So we were worried it would happen again. Didnt wanna get burnt. The bay started heading for the bayou and you could hear it was a big hog. When it got a little to close for me thought it was gonna hit the water i turned the bulldog loose. Heard her hit but the hog broke and went to the bank. I thought dang were gonna have to swim it. But to my suprise the dogs got it stopped on the bank on our side ....couldnt believe it...So in we went and it was thick im all tore up form the stickers got to the hog and couldnt get to him it was just a maze of stickers and poisin oak...im allergic to it...So we ended up having to jump in the bayou and come up to the bank were he was caught. First thing we saw was a big spotted boar and no ears.Got him stuck and brush hogged the rhino and 1 4 wheeler in there and winched him out of the bayou. Headed back for some pics and called it a night. He went 255 on the scales.

Clay, that is one of the coolest color patterns i've ever seen on a spotted hog! i swear those black spots almost look painted on (you guys didn't spray paint a red hog did you?? lol,j/k). great boar, he looks like a rough boy! congrats guys. Grin

He looks a whole lot meaner than he was but still did a little damage. Guess mainly cause theres no where to latch on for the dogs. Law had him on the snout and Mama dog had his jowels it was down hill for the hog after that

Really good hog Clay!  Always good to get those out of the woods without too much damage because they usually wreck everything.  Congrats again, how big were his teeth?  They look pretty good from what I can tell.
