Plus in the end its for a good cause and maybe some of us from this area will have a chance to meet...and if there is a decent turn out it should pay pretty good too.

I joined up, here is what it says...
HunTTrader’s Hogs For A Cause Event Rules!
Starts: April 30, 2010; 7:00 pm at Gander Mountain Ends: May 1, 2010; 8:00 pm at Lady Luck Speedway
• Winner will be determined by total weight of all hogs taken by each team. (1 winner for each class) • Top 3 teams will receive prize money in each of the two classes based on total registration dues collected for each class. • Side competition for largest hog – prize to be determined, will be worth more than $250 (only one winner). • 2 categories “Hunting with Dogs” and “Gun/ Bow Hunting without dogs” • If hunting with Dogs, live hogs at weigh in are not permitted. •Land that is permitted to be hunted during this competition is LAND THAT YOU HAVE PERMISSION TO HUNT AFTER GETTING PERMISSION FROM THE LAND OWNER! This is not a Poaching Competition! • Lie Detector Test (Polygraph) will be administered on Winning Teams and Team that harvests the Largest Hog!
•* The sponsors and/or event staff are not responsible for any injuries or illegal activities that may occur during this event. Furthermore, they hold no liability for any accident or personal injury that may occur during any planning or preparation for this event.*
• No class 3 weapons(full auto) or explosives • No trapping allowed • Valid Texas Hunting License and Hunters safety course required if applicable • Teams will consist of 2-5 members • All hunters must be a minimum of 18 years of age • During competition, teams must stay together on same piece of property not to exceed 1 mile of separation at any time on that piece of land. • Transportation will consist of a maximum of two vehicles, two trailers, and two OHV’s (Off Highway Vehicle) • No aerial means of transportation, spotting, or herding allowed. •All means of Lighting, Night vision or Laser Genetics/ Infra-Red are permitted as long as they are carried out in a legal maner. • No alcohol on premises before or after the competition at either venue, Gander Mountain or Lady Luck Speedway. • All feral hogs must be deceased and in edible condition at time of weigh in. • All animals must be harvested during hunting period • Teams are responsible for cleaning and gutting all game after weigh-In, and disposing of all the remains after weigh in. *Please Bring Gut Buckets!" • Check in April 30 at 6:00pm NLT 6:30 p.m. at Gander Mountain in Lubbock, TX • Hunt starts 7:00 pm on April 30th • Check in and closing ceremonies- May 1, NLT 8:00 pm at Lady Luck Speedway, S. of Lubbock, TX o -if not present at all appointed check in times as scheduled, your team will be disqualified. • Team Sponsorship forms may be obtained from the event planning committee to help with entry fees of all Teams. Because this is a Charity Event, we don't want any interested participants to be left out due to Entry Fees. All Sponsored Teams must clearly state their intentions of gaining sponsorship and use the designated forms for sponsorship. Ricky will be at Gander Mountain on the designated days of Registration listed above! •Processors will be on Hand post-event so please be prepared to help with the skinning and preparation needed to properly prepare your game for their receiving process. •This is a Charity Event so you must return to Weigh-In ceremony unless your team does not harvest any hogs during this competition. There is no way for the Event Staff to know whether or not your team has killed anything so this falls in the decision making of the competitors. However, we need all the hogs back so that those in need may benefit from this event!

This is his 1st contest, and he is now receiving some help from some that have done these in the past. Anyone planning to hunt this, good luck, and read the rules. Hogs will be weighed in fully intact, you will have to keep them "edible" but with the guts in until after weigh-in.  High both days shows to be in the low 80's. Good luck to all involved.

After a few things were brought to his attention, the hogs must be gutted after they are killed. The winner will be decided by who has the most hogs then by weight for each team. This is his first contest and he said if anyone else has any other ideas or suggestions to let him know at check in and he will address all the teams about the changes there at Gander Mountain before the contest starts. Also there is no late fee...THE ENTRY FEE WILL BE $200 ON THE DAY OF CHECK IN.
