I seem to remember someone on here saying they use equine Safeguard on their dogs. If so how much do you give them?

Thanks

I use safeguard once a month on all my dogs.  A full grown dog I give about as much as you would put on your toothbrush on my finger and put it in the roof of their mouth.  Pups about the size of a pea or a tad bigger.

I use about 5 ml of safeguard liquid goat wormer on a cur dog. Better to over dose with safeguard than to under dose. Puppies get .5 ml when they start milling around which they get every week from then until they wean. Upon weaning, I give eight week old pups 1 ml.

I found that the liquid goat wormer is cheaper to dose than even the caulk gun bottle of safeguard paste. The percent active ingredient is the same regardless of which container you get.

Cheers
