Savoy was nice enough to invite some coastal trash up to hunt some of his places in the hill country.  He had a buddy drive all the way up from S TX with his son so his son could stick his first hog.  We hunted long and hard and saw some beautiful property in the process but the hogs were no where to be found.  We were not about to give up on the kid so we kept pushing ahead.  Around 3pm my young pup maggie struck her first hogs and saved the day.  The dogs honored her bay and we quickly had two sows on the ground.  The dogs rolled out a good ways several times after that and at times had a dogs in every which direction off the GPS but by this point it was getting real hot and they were tired so we pulled the plug and picked them up.

It was great to get out of the jungle and see some new property.  Can't wait to do it again.

Here's the proud hunter with his kill, his dad and texas cur

When he said trash he ment them(Cull Buck and Texas_Cur) Not Bill Sr and Jr.  Was a fun hunt. We hunted hard. Broke my four wheeler in the process. I really enjoy hunting with new people to the sport. Pain in the butt having Mac sh it in my yard all over the place but looking foward to the Skinners coming up here again. Eric, Leif Barnes, also joined us on the hunt. Good times. Wish we could of killed a few more but................ Have yet to get skunked on two of the places we went to. First time for every thing.
