i just brought a nice little ute yesterday and decided to take it for a run this morning . we were crusing along this road and a nice pig run out on the road about 500 metres up he looked like he was about 70kg from that far so we went to the spot let the dog off and listened . we heard him chasing something but thats it no grunts no squeals no nothing. we run in the forest and listened and i heard my dog growl ive never heard him growl before so i knew something was up so i went to find him and once again i didnt hear nothing. so i did what i thought was best and called him off and im glad i did call him off cause when he came back he was tore up pretty bad. im guessing the pig was about 90 kilo because even from 500 metres away he looked like a very big pig. the pig got him 5 times with its tusks and some are pretty bad   he is going to be fine but im going to get him a chest plate so he dont get tore up so bad next time. the good thing about it all .....well sort of good thing i put him back on the ute and he wanted to keep hunting so i know he wasnt to badly hurt. but yea about 2 or 3 weeks maybe ill have him back out again but untill then happy hunting guys.

yeah mate i would say he would be mad everytime i go driving in the mornings he wants to come and i want to take him but he still has alot of healing.   i checked his leg a few days ago well i check it everyday but i only just noticed the other day that its not just a flesh wound in his leg the hole goes about 3 to 4 inches in i couldnt see that before because of the blood and muck  but its healing well he come for a walk with me today and his leg weaped a bit but thats just all in the healing process

It does get old doctoring on dogs sometimes... I've got a crate that I'm just leaving in the house now for doctoring purposes.  Good to hear he's healing up, what breast plate are you thinking about getting?
