how many of u r not open to hunting with new people and why this is sumthing that ive been thanking about

how many of u r not open to hunting with new people and why this is sumthing that ive been thanking about

Sometimes I am and sometimes not.

I try to take new people hunting with me as much as I can and do my best to promote our sport to them wile showing them a good time and hopefully a successful hunt. 99.9% of these folks will never own a hog dog but, maybe hunting with me will have a positive affect on them in some way and benefit all hog doggers down the road. Educating voters and future voters to our sport in a positive light will only help.

Other hog doggers is a different story. I have been in the hog hunting business long enough to be a little cautious with others that I have never hunted with and I recommend that others be the same way. Find out a little about folks before you hunt with them is all Im saying.
I have made some life long friends because Im open to hunting with new folks but I have managed to unknowingly mingle with a bad bunch a time or two also.
I found out I was poaching one time after half a day of being on the place I was invited too! Shocked. Never hunted with that bunch again and never will! That stuff is serious to me and we as hog hunters should always be concerned about our personal reputation and upholding the law. Hog hunters with integrity can have good dogs also! lol. I know a few. Grin

Young/new hunters are yet another category for me. I try to help these folks out when I can and do my best to put them on the right track of being good ambassadors of our sport. Not so much with hog hunting or dog training wisdom even though I am the BoarNinja! lol Cheesy. Just doing things the right way as far as handling people and landowners/property and what can be done for a better outlook on hog doggers in the public eye.
Thats one reason I appreciate this board so much and the information that is shared with the new guys. You dont always get good advice on here but its rare that I see bad advice go unchallenged.
