So many people underestimates the ability of a pits nose... they can hang with the cur dogs for sure..There has been several times when I have noticed the catch dog scent check the same track as the strike dogs took...

oh yea, the right pit and bulldog can hang with a cur pretty good. this pit seems like he gets better at winding every time.

My old pack of catchdogs used to let us know when to turn them loose LOL. The strike dogs would disappear and then the catchdogs would start wimpering in the box. About 5 seconds later or so we would have a bay. So we got to where when they did that we just dumped them. Caught alot of hogs with that old pack and I wished I still had them.
