Got a question for anyone who can help. I have a bee hive under a shed in my back yard and need to get it gone. They have been there for a couple of years off and on and i have never bothered them and they have not bothered me or my family or dogs until now. I was out weed eating and wouldnt you know it......boom they were on me. Luckily only one got me since i had on pants and long sleeves but it was rather comical looking back on it now. Had a set of saw horse directly behind me when it happened started moving back at a rather quick pace, did a back flip that would make Mary Lou impressed landed with the weed eater still in hand and running full speed trying to wack them in the air and escaped around the garage to fight another time. So how bout it anybody got any home remedies to get them out of there. Have a open house tommorrow afternoon and need to finish the yard up.

Not sure what your shed looks like but if you can jack it up or get underneath somehow you could start a fire and then throw in some greenery to create buttloads of smoke. My frined had a hive under an old storage shed once and this is what we did and then colected the comb and a big tupperware of fresh honey! Good luck! You could also call Billy the exterminator and let him get stung instaed of you!

We had a guy come out and trap most of them then kill the rest. When they die they die they are going to stink pretty good so the fewer to die the better. See if. There is a bee keeper around u. Call local sheriff and fire dept.

u can take pine straw or hay and a box fan and smoke them out. the smoke makes them act stoned out of thier minds and u can handle them or the hive. is it an actual hive or did the bees make the hive? if u can get an actual single or double hive with the wax racks, and able to the get the queen out of the old hive, the workers will move to the new hive and start producing honey that u can harvest. i used to go out with my grandpa and we would go in just long shirt and pants and change the wax racks out and we only used a smoke box to get them high b4 we messed with them. where u located??

If they are in the dirt do whatever kills them fast. At night they will fly to light so it is lights out at night. But I would would hit them with something strong. Soap and water works. But I would fog the hell out of them.

Well i ended up getting someone to come and get'em. I ended up helping the guy tip the shed up on end a little bit with a couple of links of chain and my tractor so he could fog some kind of white powder out of his machine up in there. And let me tell you this, its a good thing i didn't get to foolin with them to much myself because the swarm of bee's that came from under there when he started spraying was like a dark cloud you would see on a cartoon. I had to back up all the way to the back of the yard to stay out of them flying around. Anyhow thanks for the suggestions and just to let you know brake parts cleaner will take care of them also.
