With all the rain we have been having the temp wasn't bad so we went hunting in Ormond Beach last sat. night and caught a 40 pound gilt and turned her loose and then around two in the morning we saw tracks in the road and put out on this boy and bayed him in about 20 minutes. I was going to bring my video camera but we had to cross water and being only 5' I have a tendency to get really wet, so I just brought the hobbles and light. When the dogs caught him, the guys grabbed his hind legs and told me to help flip him, he was in between some pine trees and had dog hanging on him. so i grabbed his front leg and pulled to no avail and then Terry told me to push him over, and the hog was biting the CD foot, as soon as he was flipped over the poor dog turned loose of the ear and begin to chew on the hogs mouth. I felt sorry for the dog but I was not going to stick my hand near their.  Shocked

Anyway, he did not get bit to bad. We tied him to the tree until morning, so we could hunt the rest of the night. We got on another one but she ran into some private land, which we can not hunt, so it was a pig day for her.

this was the first time in 6 weeks we have been hunting, hopefully the rain will keep coming and the cool nights.

 Shocked
Very little!
I've got Ramsey bred hopefully so I have been laying low.  I tag along with a friend the other night, but we did not lay hands on any swine.  We did see a really nice bobcat when we entered the property, but Beulah was too broke to try to move it.  She just looked at me when I put her on the track like " yeah right, like I'm going to fall for that ol' shocking game!". I got tickled, but was content.  Kris dumped 2 curs off the highway where we say a group, but every time they would bay, they would just break after 3-5 minutes.  They ended up going onto someone elses's land, so we called it an early night.

Good boarhog and hunt!  I always hate when a dog gets a leg chewed on like that!  I always just tell myself maybe they'll learn to keep that chit out the way next time!!! Grin

Y'all are lucky to have some cooler weather to hunt in,.....it's been hotter n hell here, and so humid you can't breathe. I don't care much for night hunting so I'm kinda stuck not going. Good luck.
