im probly going to be moving to florence alabama soon !!! is there any hunters on here from around that area ? i was just wondering if there is alot of hogs up there and how the hunting is around that area !!!! im hoping someone is going to tell me they are loaded with hogs up there cause sure hate to get rid of my dogs and not be able to hunt !!if anybody is from around there let me know please !

Well I live in Fort Payne which is across the state from Florence. We don't have much in the way of hog hunting around here, but I can't say for the part you're going to be in. I'd say it has to be better than we have here. You will be close to MS and I think they have some fairly good hog hunting. Sorry I can't offer you much help.....good luck.....let me know what you find out.

Im a North Alabama boy displaced to Texas a long time ago. I have plenty of family there and get back to hunt sometimes. I have never seen or heard of a wild hog in North Alabama. But that doesnt mean they are not there. I am sure that there is a few isolated pockets of them just not many. There are ways to fix that ya know. lol Evil

Im from middle alabama and we have good hunting here,  dont have many open places to hunt mostly briar thickets and corn fields but its good hunting down here, dont know how florance will be, maybe its good up there

Well 87, as long as you're bringing some sport with you, I'd try to get ahold of Shane Kirby, he's in Madison-Huntsville area which is an hour and change from Florence.

If ya'all hit it off he might work with you, no promises. He's GOOD people, runs Jags.

i would figure there are hogs close as all the southern counties in tn have hogs now . i'm in paris tn 3 hrs from florence, as long as you run silent dogs your welcome to come hunt with me , or i'll come help you catch some when you get settled . if nothing else i can help you import some . ten four !! as mater afact the town im moving to is outside of florence its bout 35 mins from huntsville ill have to get up with him !! i talked to some guys up there finally and they said they do have hogs so that makes the move lil easier now lol !!
