Talk about hitting home!!!  This one is in my backyard!!!  I have posted a comment on the url given at the bottom and am doing some investigating with regards as to when this will be brought before the city council as well as any other particulars on this subject.  I will keep everyone updated.

The "animal rights" legislative agenda has reared it's ugly head in yet
another Texas city: Lubbock. We have no formal document at this time so
this article below is just a heads up to animal owners in Lubbock. The
article states that the Animal Advisory Board and Morris Safe House plan to
present their proposal to city council within the next month. The article
mentions monitoring breeding by permits or fees, mandatory spay or neutering
requirements, and mandatory microchips. We'll be requesting a copy of the
ordinance proposal from the city of Lubbock tomorrow.

WTF,

They are coming out of the wood work. Seems that San Fransisco really got the ball rolling in the wrong direction.

Lubbock's Animal Control Board met yesterday to listen to presentations being made by those that recomend the MSN ordinance.  Funny thing was I think they were trying to sneak this thing through without anyone knowing about it.  Thanks to Mary Beth at RPOA and others, the word did get out and those that oppose this were there with a couple making it on the agenda to speak.  We will be a little better prepared for the City Council tho as it looks like a presentation of some kind will be heading to them August 26th.
