and, yes, there is a difference."

Attention! If you've been living under a rock somewhere you may not be
aware of all the animal seizures taking place in Texas on a regular basis.
It's become a fundraiser for many animal shelters.
Check out this miscarriage of justice in the Houston area which resulted in
the death of many healthy birds:

training session recently, part of a national certification program offered
by the Law Enforcement Training Institute of the University of
Missouri-Columbia.
Correcting problems while in the field should be officers' primary concern,
said Roy Davis, a veterinarian with a specialty in large animals who led the
training.
"We establish a base for them to work from so they can go forward from
there," Davis said. "Correcting animal abuse instead of search and seizure
is a much better outcome for the animals, for the individuals, for the
community, for everybody. Search and seizures always cost money for the
community. They're ... much more work for the court system, and nobody is a
winner out of it."
Animal shelters and humane societies should let local certified animal
control personnel handle these situations. Remember no one may enter your
private property without a Search Warrant!
We received the Hearing Notice below for those who may want to attend:
