Went and helped Chance this morning gather some cattle, had a great time and learned quite a bit.  It was HOT, when I left it was 102 and the heat index was 110 and they were loading out cattle.  Thanks guys and look forward to the next time.

Good pics Matt.

I was sweating to death at 3:30 this morning, I can imagine what it felt like after the sun came up.

Mike, I did maybe a fraction of the work the others did today because I can't take the heat any more and I am still hot right now.  I don't know how everyone and their horses and the dogs made it through today without a heat related injury.  I am pretty sure it was the hottest day of the summer.....

Bryant,

I am pretty sure Crystal got some good pics of the dogs working.

I had a good time, but damn it was hot. Started the day at 4:00am, and unsaddled the old man at 7:30pm. I was still reading 99 degrees at 6:00 this evening.

I will post some pics tomorrow after I cool off. Smiley

Matt,

I think I took like 536 or 540 pics. I have some pretty neat ones, and many I need to crop and edit to make some wall hangers. It's darn sure not my abilities, it's my camera taking up a lot of slack. I like oddball subjects, I think I have 20 pics of various cows that caught my eye, and several of those were in the process of bawling. There is just so much emotion in those pics of bawling cattle. I got some great pics of Crystal and her daughter Tristan - it looked like mother/daughter bonding that in my imagination would likely be something to spark some memories for Tristan later on. My favorite of that run of pics didn't make it onto the ethd site, but I will crop and edit and give Crystal the hard copy to do what she wants with.

There was a man there helping named Charlie that caught my lens more than anyone or anything else. To me, he was just cowboy. He looked the part and darned sure worked the part. My camera loved him and I tried to capture candid shots of him working. Pure Cowboy.

I'll go through and do some editing and maybe post up some of my favorites from the weekend. I'm not one much for action shots, I like to play with the more off the wall stuff.

Cheers!

Yeah, I knew you would not like seeing yourself as the subject of the camera. The problem is that some people just photograph well. Unfortunately for you, you are one of those people. My camera likes you because the pictures usually turn out well.

I was really referring to my strange taste is photos because I would hate for someone to be following this post hoping for some good action shots. I like the different type of photos.

Cheers

Great pics, thanks for posting, that donkey has it figured out and that is a super good looking yella dog in the back ground of the other pic, it could pass for one of Craigs dogs.
