Jesse called me at about 5:45 Thrusday evening and asked if I wanted to go huntin with him, well of course I said yes. I got to his house around 7:20 and it was rainin pretty good for around 45 mins so we waited for it to clear up a little and then we headed out to one of his spots to hunt. We made a run in one area of the ranch where he thought there would be some hogs and didnt get on anything, so we headed out to the North side of the ranch and let the dogs out again, just a few minutes after turnin the dogs out the had a good bay going at about 360 yds, so we drove a little closer and stoped and listened. Still had a bay and then nothing . Dogs quiet and still in the same area. We watched the garmin and the dogs stayed in that area and we both looked up and see a big boar about 40 yds in front of us trotin back towards a stock tank. We got out and looked to see if we could find him with no luck. Well one of the dogs started to make its way back towards us and at about 90 yds it struck that hog and the other dogs were there pretty quick. They got him bayed at around 635 yds, so we drive a little closer and they have a really good bay going. Jesse said the area that there bayed up in is pretty thick so he was gonna go ahead to the bay and I got the bulldog off of the truck and followed as well as I could with the CD really pullin wantin to get to the bay. We make our way through the brush and Jesse is about 60 or so yards ahead and gets there first. He said once he got to the bay he could tell it was a good hog and went ahead and shot it. I get there about a minute after he shoots and the hog is down but still gruntin, so I let the CD go. Get a look at the hog and he's still got some pretty good life in him so I finished him off with my knife. We started checkin dogs and he cut 4 out of 5 of the bay dogs . Two of them pretty bad. We got the dogs back to the truck to find one of them there waitin on us with a good hit on its shoulder. The dogs will be ok, but gonna be out for a while. He was dang sure a dog wrecker. Another great hunt with LionandBoarhunter. Thanks Jesse.
