Well we got back from our Colorado trip today and while I am beat I have to say it was the best place I have ever been to.  We both really enjoyed it and look forward to going back next summer.  The pics don't do it justice and some of these are from New Mexico and the Texas Panhandle.

Notice anything funny about the horns on that deer?

These next two signs were at least 350 miles apart in the panhandle but both made good photo opps....

We went to Pagosa Springs, CO.  The weather was the CHIT!  It was cool when we arrived on Tuesday afternoon, cooler on Wed and rainy, then cleared off and there was a heavy frost Fri and Sat morning without a cloud in the sky and high of around 60.  I didn't realize it but they claim to have over 300 days of sunshine a year there.  Even in the summer when it rains they say it will only rain in the evening and be sunny in the morning.  They don't get a lot of snow there but it is only 20 miles to Wolf Creek where they get alot of snow.  It is a really neat place to go, good resturants, they have their own brewery, and even it feels like a small town.

It is a point and shoot that I got my wife nearly three years ago for her birthday.  I want to say it is a cannon with 10X zoom, cost around $350 back then.  I will see if I can get the info off of it.  It has a lot of hard miles on it, my wife is something of a picture finatic.  She took right at 754 pictures on this trip alone!!

I am officially envious of the Goodsons. Looks like yall had a lot of fun! I would have been out on the hot air balloon though, I'm scared of heights. Awesome photos though, glad you two had a good time. Don't rub the weather in too bad. I was loping circles this morning and I got sweat in my eye. Hurt so bad I had to stop the horse.

Is Mandy getting a horse too? I think she needs one.

Cheers

After riding this past week she has been all about me getting one so she can ride it too.  She got a little bit of an itch so I think my new aquisition will be that much easier  Cool  The balloon wasnt bad, I almost cancelled on her but she talked me into it and I am glad I rode it.  It was smooth and relaxing and not all that scary.  It was suprisingly stable and we had a very good pilot who new what he was doing.
