The one advantage hog hunters have is the negative financial impact feral hogs have on our local enconomies.  The same can not be said for deer....deer are considered a valuable resource.

Hell yeah they are! Just ask Bill Jordan and Will Primos'! lol. The will tell you the Truth.  Cheesy

If everyone looked at tusk like they do antlers we would be in serious trouble as doggers.

That did not help prevent being banned from the National Forrest, our own public land, go figure, what a few politicians can do, can't wait to see what comes of this next legislative session with all the bills being introduced telling us how, when, where we can do with our own dogs.

Right before they outlawed deer  hunting with dogs, they had six counties where it was still legal. They were all in the big thicket area of Texas. One year it was legal and gone the next. It continued untill the late 70's in some spots, with the area around Plum Grove being the worst. I had a Game Warden, when I lived at Spring, tell me they were afraid to try too hard to stop it, as it could be a little too dangerous. We had some Beagles that would trash every now and then and run a deer past a stand.
Hey why you want to pick on plum grove!!lol Grin Grin
The only reason the guys stopped running plum-grove is because they all got to old to run anymore! About 10 years ago they had helicopters and gamewardens everywhere trying to catch deer dog runners! They got them but it did not hold up in court they were running there deer dogs and had guns but No deer! These guys that got caught would probally be some of us if they took it away!So I do not judge them!
The only thing we have on our side is the population of hogs that is it!

Again I have said it millions of times and it is the best agruement I have herd!
There are Outlaw fishermen! But they don't stop fishing!
There are outlaw stand deer hunters! But they don't stop stand hunting!
There are Outlaw Dog hunters and they want to take are rights away!
Get off your a$$ and catch the bad ones and leave the good ones alone!
