A buddy of mine called and said that he and his son were going to be in town this weekend and his son has been talking his ear off about sticking a hog.  I told him we had been on them pretty good for the last month or so, so now would be a good time.

We meet up at sunrise, got to watch two bucks lock up and have it out over a doe for a little while and we were off to start the hunt.  It didn't take 20 minutes for the dogs to find a sounder.  They caught out on a small boar and then rolled out and bayed up another boar that was slightly larger but had some decent teeth for his size.  The kido was all smiles and has some cool stories for his classmates today.  Grin

Took Savoy to the swamp and he promtly got his v-card punched.

He's out.  And you're out.  And i don't think I'm in either.

That was by far one of the easier hunts I have been on.  The dogs did their jobs well, and the hogs seemed to be cooperating.

Bump,
When are you and your boyfriend Savoy gonna come down and play in the swamp?  I promise all the snakes and gators are gone.

I think we are broke up right now cause I never see him anymore...despite living 20 miles from him. Why dont we meet at one of Savoy's places...everyone else hunts it.  Grin

You live like 2 days from me. How bout we meet half way and hunt with Richard?

Good job Richard.

I understand about the kids telling everyone at school.  I hear all the time from the teachers about what we did the weekend before.

My son stuck a pig a couple weekends ago and one of the guys that was with us, that had never stuck a hog before, was telling Will (6yo) where and how to stick the pig.  Will said " I know what I am doing, I have been doing this for years"!  I about fell out.

I aint afraid of no snakes, alligators or driving! Grin
