Decided to do an evening hunt Thursday with a buddy of mine. Right of the bat, the dogs strike a hog and the race is on. They had the hog stopped in a creek for a bit, but it eventually broke and we spent the next 45 min. or so getting the dogs rounded up. (Just thought I'd mention) My buddy has a wildlife tracking system and right now the reciever is messed up, so we have been tracking his collars with my quick trak 6000. It is nice to have one unit that will track all the collars. Anyways back to the hunt, After the chase, we decided to hunt a place across the road. We drove through an open field(nothing planted so okay to do) and one of the dogs started whining on the truck,as soon as we let him out the box, he was off. He bayed up in creek and we made our way to him. We cut the bulldogs loose and they caught this hog in waist high water.

Saturday, We got a late start around 830 or so. It was really windy and we knew we would have a hard time hearing the dogs. We hunted our honey hole, and no luck, so we decided to move across the road.
My buddy walked the dogs in and about 20 mins later, he came across the hand held and said the dogs were bayed up. We didnt hear a thing. So we made our way to where he told us and still didnt hear anything. He finally came out of the woods about 100 yards ahead and we made our way to him. The hog broke as soon as the catchdogs got there, but the dogs got him stopped pretty quick. We had a new catchdog that we got from Findahog with us and she really showed us some speed. This is what we got.

Today we started out about 630 and it was sure cold. We hunted a while with no sign of a hog in sight. Finally one of my young prospects sounded off and we waited for the other dogs to put in with him. When they did, we made our way to them. We cut the bulldogs loose and caught one off the bat, a sow. The dogs rolled out and bayed up again and we caught a small boar.

He is pretty tall, but not as wide. He'll probally go somewhere around 225lbs or so, I'm guessing. I was going to take all the hogs to sell today but, ran out of time, probally have to do it tuesday.

Looks like a good time.  I started to call you yesterday to see what your plans looked like this morning.
We hunted near Eddy, and only ended up with a coyote.

Four in a week thats some good hunting.  Sounds like your dogs fared well this week.  Especially, with that bigger boar looked like he had a set of killers on him.
Congrats
