I would like to have culled that big one clint but we are in a one buck county and I know there are some woppers running around, if at the end the season I havn't been lucky enough to tag a big boy then I cull hunt and do the herd a favor.  Not my preferred management practice but it keeps everyone happy.
I think that if I owned the this ranch, 13K acres, I would allow say 5 cull deer be harvested that would become camp meat and that way we could hold onto our personal tags and keep hunting while doing the gene pool a favor.
