Let me guess Ocala? I have treed many a big black coon there. Grin

The hogs there are few and far between. But they are there. When I lived up there on my stretch of road to my house was 2 miles. One night I counted 14 bears on that road. There is more bears than anything else.

It is beautiful country.

well mr. noah i have to say them sure are some pretty woods yall hunt back your way. man have you thought about what you gonna do when you hear your dogs baying like heck and you walk that big white beast in there and turn hin loose and then realize uh o its a 400 lb black bear. man that will make for one of your good hunting storys and besure to take action shots also. i think you might stand a tiny little chance with the wrecking crew you hunt the bear just might tree , but i dont know?

Thanks Krystal, ol' Bucho's really grown on us... he's just a real neat dog.

CajunL, you close brother Grin  extreme upper NE edge of the Big Scrub... We've toyed with the sparse Ocala hogs before, down around the SR 40/19, but the bad ass scrub oaks just ain't worth it! Grin

Geronimo, I think you know the ending to that story...  yet another "non-internet friendly" hunting story.... WinkGrin

And, no, there is nowhere else in the world as beautiful as Florida.  Wink Grin  ..... Been alot of places, some REAL nice places... but I'll never want to live anywhere but Florida.

I would agree with on FL if you could figure out how to clean out dade and broward county.  angel

Great post!  It sounds like an awesome time in the woods.
