SOLD - Thanks everyone for your interest - we have a buyer and a backup buyer. Dog will be picked up by Tuesday. If something happens and the deal does not go through we will update this posting. Please stop calling - thank you very much.

Tim/Brad

My buddy is selling his entire hog dog team.

"Blue" - Registered Plott hound

This is a full blood Plott that is a proven strike dog. He is SUPER aggressive, never stops running, LONG range dog. Has awesome nose, absolutely will find a hog if it is there.  He has found over 60 hogs for us - and has many, many times outstruck everything else we had on the ground.

I would NOT suggest you hunt this dog without a tracking system. He will go and go and go.   You put him on the ground and you'll not see him again until you get to the bay.  Gritty and aggressive dog around a hog - but has really never been seriously cut. Smart enough to stay clear of the ivory.

Blue has been hunted his whole life around curr dogs, and silent hounds.  Sometimes he does bark on hot track, but not consistently.  We think all the other silent dogs around him have taken a bit of the mouth out of him. Guess you could call him "semi-open" -because he'll bark on a hot trail most of the time.  This dog has found hogs after most other dogs give up. NO BS guys - this is a dog with an awesome nose and incredible drive.

We've run him with a shock collar the last few years anytime we hunt around cattle.  In the past (about 2 years ago) he would on occaision run cows. Not every time mind you, but it would happen, so we put the collar on him and hit him a few times when he offered to bark at a cow.  Can't remember the last time he has offered to bark at cows - but I'm not ready to call him "finished" or "broke" completely yet.

This is a very strong, aggressive dog that only needs more time in the woods and to finish out.  This dog has found many, many hogs that other dogs ran right by. Can't say enough about his motor, range, nose, aggression level.

A guy who hunted with Blue last year offered $1000 for this dog - Brad accepted the offer, delivered the dog.  Then the guy lost his job and could not pay.   I tell you this just to say this aint no BS claim about another sorry "strike dog". .

Price: $600

Sorry WestTexas - I don't have/know about his pedigree, just how he hunts - he's sold now anyway. Thanks.
