After catching hell for my wife shooting a bigger deer than me I had to try and redeem myself. I managed this 11-pt the Friday after Thanksgiving as he came in CLOSE following a hot doe. He is not the big old 8 point that I have been hunting from last year, but he will do. Not the biggest body (weighing in at 140 on the hoof) but we put the tape on him and he will gross roughly 133 7/8 with the broken G4 on his right side. The opposite G4 is a little over 6 inches so if you give him 6 on the broken side he will be roughly 138 range. He is definitely my biggest buck to date and one of the biggest to ever come off this pasture. Not the best pics but they will have to do until I get him on the wall.   RJB |
