Any body here hunt or know anyone hunting from San Antonio to Kingsville TX area? My oldest son has been battling bone cancer this last year and should be done with chemo in April and we were contemplating a celebration hunt. He is 14 and lost his left leg above the knee in October, in November he shot a 5x5 whitetail and a 5x5 bull elk, before he had his prothesis! If anyone here has contacts or hunts the area and can help out with connections for access etc. or even guides who run hogs, we would be very grateful.

Thank you and God bless,
Josh

Krystal,

Tell them to head to Flatonia and we'll take him out hunting. Setup the hunt, and we'll be there.

Jesse Paul,

You could take that kid to the trophy place you talk about down south. It would ruin him for good.  Grin

Circle C - You mention going somewhere in Flatonia.  I am in Hallettsvillle.  If ya'll end up there and need help let me know.  I'll do whatever I can.  Maybe could get some other guys to help and cook for the hunt or whatever.

I'm game for whatever...  Just like to show a little Texas hospitality, especially for a young man that's been through so much at a young age.  I'm sure the members of ETHD will roll out the red carpet, wherever he decides to hunt.

If one of you guys talks to this guy and somehow the hunt moves closer to Houston, I'd like to offer up some of my spots.  I got a couple that require very little running thru thick cover....makes hunts like this easy.

He's out.  And you're out.  And i don't think I'm in either.

wow! let me start by saying how humbled I am by the amount of responses and the obvious care/compassion you all have for my son, a person you have obviously never heard of.  Thank you all.
