Spencer,
I've got that same knife, but never used it on hogs. Always wondered how well it would work.

I carry a Buck 119 in the woods. Decent knife, but my feelings are not hurt if I loose one.

A friend lost a Randall made knife on a hog hunt... I don't think I would have left the place until it was located... as far as I know, it's still lost too.

A sharp one. Had a dull one handed to me once. I got it taken care of but sharper is better. I also prefer cheap. While I don't wont to lose one at least lose a cheap one.

Cold steel OSS

Zach has an OSS and it is nice. I have the Boar Hunter. Different looking but works well. Both come scary sharp out of the box.

I also use that same Gerber knife. It is not to big and not to small. Also with the double edge it seems to do lots of damage with little effort. I looked at lots of knives and this one I belive was the best fit for me for the money.
