i know if a dog can lick it, generally i leave it alone but last night when wyatt earp got a hold of the sow her whetter cut his bottom cheek inside, between cheeck and gum. not terrible but still.
what if anything do yall suggest

Wash it out once or twice a day with water had nearly the same thing happen to one of mine but lower jaw and was pretty bad but healed up fine

hes right....the mouth heals pretty fast....just be sure one of the two times is after he eats(so he doesnt have food stuck inside the wound) it wouldnt hurt to give him some pen. too. The mouth is full of bacteria. i would keep flushing it out till it granulates in (closes up). Good luck! Mrs. kbar |

you can get vetericyn in a spray bottle and flush it,,, the stuff does wonders on any wound.. and it can be use any where eye,nose,mouth, any open sore...

As long as it dosent get infected it should be OK, if it does get infected and drains into his body it can cause all kinds of problems and when you do notice something is wrong its usally too late. I start him on some good antibiotics just to be safe.
