It does not really matter how big it is. It just depends on how much you plan on using it. If you are planning on going to bay pen competitions then build a good one. I want my dogs to hunt. So I built a ten by ten pen out of hog panels from TSC. Then the pig goes inside and the dogs outside. That way I can see if the dog has interest. Plus then the dog knows what to find. Then get in the woods. I move my pen around so the puppies have to find it. It also ensures the pig is around to use again. I can use one hog for all the training and then have a pig roast. Grin

Dud.  I have the same thing 12*12 but I think my dogs would jump over the 4' hog panels to get in with the pig.  My Pig is only about 20lbs so that would be a bad deal.  any thoughts or is yours taller.

I only use it for puppies. I used for my dogs. Now I am about to get another puppy so I will toss another pig in it in a few months from now. It is at a friends property so I can pick the dogs I take. You make it taller but it would have to be more permanent.
