RULES
1. The contest is open to wild (feral) hogs hunted with dogs in any county in Texas and only caught during the period from 5:00 p.m. on March 11, 2011 through 12:00PM on March 13, 2011.
2. All team members must sign release and registration form and agreement of rules. As well as all team members must produce a hunting license number on the registration form.
3. 2-4 man teams only.
4. The main contest will be won by whoever brings in the most hogs. All hogs brought in must weigh 50lbs +.
5. Dog caught hogs only. Hogs cannot be previously trapped, kept, or held for the contest.
6. Hogs must be caught on free range properties. They must not come from behind a game proof fence. Game proof fence considered (high fence ranches or hog proof pens).
7. No splitting of teams into two or more groups. Team members must hunt together at all times. Each team is permitted to run one pack of dogs at a time. For the purpose of this contest, a pack is considered a single group of dogs being handled by the team members. A team may NOT run multiple packs in multiple locations.
8. Only hunters entered with the team may hunt. May have others with you but they are allowed to handle dogs or hogs.
9. All hogs must come in a health condition. (no crippled, shot, half dead, dying, or really chewed up hogs) This rule will be strongly enforced and up to the judges decision.
10. All hogs once entered into competition are property of Cherokee Hog Buying Station.
11. All hogs must be in line to be weighed and counted by noon Sunday. (NO EXCEPTIONS) For every 5 minutes your team is late one hog from your stringer will be disqualified. After 20 minutes your team is disqualified.
12. Each team captain has the option of standing in the weigh-in area to witness his or her team’s hogs being weighed and counted and as the other teams are being weighed and counted. Please be courteous of the judges and the space they need to conduct weigh in.
13. No injured or malnourished dogs of any kind allowed on the premises.
14.Each team will be responsible for producing proof of each of the caught hogs, by digital photo. ABSOLUTLY NO CELL PHONE PICTURES. The committee will instruct teams on a secret word of the day for each day (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), to be included in the picture. The “secret word” must be clearly visible and identifiable in the photo.
15. Photos must have 3 to 4 team members and must be taken in the field as close to the time of catch as possible.
16. No disorderly conduct, such as cursing, fighting, or rude behavior will be tolerated at the sign-in or weigh-in.
17. No guns or weapons of any kind can be displayed or worn on the sign-in and weigh-in premises.

19. Any individual or teams found guilty of any Texas Game laws during this contest will be disqualified.
20. Any contestant or team found trying to cheat will be disqualified, and will forfeit their entry fee.
21. Ties are broken by drawing a card from a deck. Highest card wins. 2 is lowest and ace is highest.
22. Any violation of these rules will result in the entire team being disqualified and the individual(s) involved will be removed from the premises.
23. Winners will be poly-graph tested. If you fail your team will be disqualified no exceptions!!!!
