Bryant, my youngest boy, Hunter, and I headed back to Huntsville this morning. We met with Greg, his son Hunter, his Dad and two brothers. It was Greg's Dad's first time to hog hunt with dogs. We finally got into some hogs and caught a sow. Hunter and Striker jumped a young boar that was with the group and took him a mile where bayed in the creek. It was a good morning, the boys enjoyed it.

Will, it got a little confusing every time someone yelled "Hunter". Grin

Jesse, he did claim the dog and name him after himself... but he lets me use him whenever I want.

Noah, they've always been pretty good as pups. They just hit the 2 year mark and have really been shining lately. Their grandma, Tweety, goes in for surgery on her ankle in a couple of weeks... it's nice to have them producing pork on a regular basis. Her pups will be ready to hit the woods in a couple more months.

Good deal man, nice hogs there. I took t-bird with me today and I got to tell you he tried to hunt and make a few loops. I was pretty suprised since yesterday was the first time he had ever worn a collar haha.  I just dumped him and hunted him the last hour or so of the hunt back to the house.

The two dogs pictured are littermates. The dam is catahoula x brindle cur and the sire is 3/4 bmc x 1/4 plott.

Here's a little history if you are interested...
