I am looking to find a new vest for my CD.  The one I have I do not like, I want one that will cover his whole back and that is tougher than I got.  Any suggestions will be great, and where I can find them.  Thanks!

Well, here goes.

We have had a good many catch vests, but there is one style that we think is just the best for us. We use the triple layer kevlar Devastator vests from Ugly Dog. This is a lightweight vest and very much allows the dog to have freedom of movement. It doesn't get heavy even when wet, and does not inhibit our dogs from jumping onto the tailgate, the mule, or onto the flatbed. Of any vests we have owned or tried, the Devastator is the least inhibiting with the most poke through and cut protection we have found. There seems to be a fine line between cut protection and ease of movement, but this vest seems to straddle the line very well. Although no vest is poke proof, we have yet to have that issue with a devastator vest that has been in use on a snout dog for about 3 years on some pretty bad hogs. The sleeves get shredded, the color fades in the sun if you leave it fastened to the dog box, and the thing gets scarred up and ugly, but it does it's job and has kept a snout dog alive when he should by all counts be dead by now. His technique is pretty kamikaze and he catches wild.

Also have one of these vests custom made in hot pink and shortened for my Tater dog. I keep it out of the sun and take good care of it because Tater has supermodel good looks and he needs a beautiful vest.

Cheers
