First time going ever, got out there at about 7 a.m.
the baying event had just begun..I was walking around looking at the dogs they had for sale.
BLUE SKY FARMS had a dog that caught my attention blue leopard double glass eyed male catahoula 2 yrs old.( never seen a hog)
now they had papers and generations lined up to about 25 yrs. This male particulary had double doull claws.
which i new that was a older catahoula bloodine trait, the majority of this trait has slowly died away over time.
i was gonna get him for a steal!! $150, i told them id be back in a lil bit i was going to look at other dogs first.
So i continued on the hunt to add a new family member to the pack, People had nice dogs but alot of them had never seen a hog before.
I eventually wondered away to the vendors, and got lost in all the hunting supplies they had.
I bought a Uncle Earls T shirt, suscribed to bayed solid magazines, bought a REBEL FLAG cut collar.
Then i heard the announcers over the intercom scoring dogs i sat about 3 hours and watched the dogs bay. (nice dogs by the way)
I determined the majority of the score relys on the pig you get, as in bullriding as well..
Couple hogs were unfortuately casterated by the dog but for the most part most dogs had a nice solid tight bay.
I put the items i had purchased in my cousins bag he put it in the truck,
I went back to purchase the blue leopard male, there was a brindle gyp i wanted to try right quick in this fellows bay pen.
This dog had never seen a hog before either, but i "try before i buy" wasted time with that gyp.
Maybe 10 mins had passed i was walking back to where this Male was tied at.
When i seen this guy pulling out with the dog loaded in his dogbox that i was just about to buy!
So i leave there with no dogs, just supplies that i had bought( or atleast i thought i had them)
Somehow they got taken out of my cousins bag and had fallen on the ground at uncle earls somewhere???
I get home and all i got to count for is my life, thankgod, skin stapeler and memories of UNCLE EARLS 2011'
I will be going again next year with a hunters backpack for my supplies, and hopefully some dogs of my own to enter in the contest!

Please feel free to reply.

If you told the guy that you'd be back "in a little bit" and you didn't get back for over 3 hours....and he didn't know you from Adam,....and didn't have any way of contacting you.....do you really blame him for selling the dog? Don't mean to berate you, just looking at it objectively.

To be real honest I think I got fleas I have been itching all over since Friday, but checking out those leopard pups was worth it.
