I have been trying for 2 weeks to catch this old boar. I put lights on my feeder and his stays just out of the light.
So I started spotlighting. He would run just as the red light would hit him. Last night I went out to look and see
if he was there. I started with the spotlight up in the air and came down without shining directly at the feeder.
Sure enough he was there, I shut the light off real quick, went back in the house and told my wife, his out there.
I grab the rifle she takes the light and off we go. I told to start high and come down with the light. He is still
there. Two seconds later that old 243 let go. I call my nephew who lives beside me, and he comes over.
We get to the feeder and find blood right off. He ran in a briar thicket (of course). We track for 35 yards and there
he is, dead. We dont have scales but have seen many a hogs. He looked about 275-300lbs.
