Took Sue and his brother Celevra last night by themselves just to see how they would hunt. They hunted out around us in about 300 yard circles. Found a pretty good track and some rooting and they acted like they could smell it a little bit so we just waited and gave them some time. They didn't put on a real big show or nothin but they did leave on it and popped up treed on the garmin about 350 yards from us. No Barking, No squealing , Nothin. I figured they had made hamburger out of an armadillo but when we got close to them you could hear them fightin a hog and I could smell boar hog ... Pretty good for 2 11 month old pups I thought..  |

Damn straight son!!!
That's a hell of a hog for nothin' but pups!!!
My 10 mnth old pups are doin' good, my females are huntin' with the big dogs and doin' real well... the males are another few mnths from being ready for a "real" hunt however... much slower maturing physically... they got the gameness but they still got puppy legs to 'em and would flat out get wrecked if a bad one put 'em in a bind...

Mike, My buddy shawn got the name off that movie Slevin. The guy 's name is Slevin Kelevra and kelevra means bad dog in some other language. He got that name after wiping out Shawn's goat herd one night when he was about 7 months old.. TShelly , No the black and tan pups are still too young to take to the woods, they are about 6 months old. Sue and Kelevra are off Patrick X Daisy. Daisy is a linebred bulldog that a buddy of mine owns.. We were hoping to get some rough dogs that had a decent nose and some hunt. I'm not disappointed so far.. Bo and Jimmy , yall don't want them, would just be another sh!teater you had to feed.. |
