HogDoggerDude,

April 20,2010 a rig off the coast of Lousiana, the Deepwater Horizon, had a blow out that killed 11 men. I won't get on my soap box, lets just say that while many people have been forgotten them, Jason Anderson. Aaron Dale Burkeen. Donald Clark. Stephen Curtis. Roy Wyatt Kemp. Karl Kleppinger. Gordon Jones. Blair Manuel. Dewey Revette. Shane Roshto. Adam Weise will always live in my heart, as well as their families and friends.

Rest in peace guys, See ya next hitch.

Guys and Girls, I know that I can come to y'all all the time. I just need to vent for a minute.

It's days like today that I really have to sit down and remember to have faith. I still remember the exact moment that I got the phone call about the Deepwater Horizon. I was driving to Wisconsin. I was lost in Kansas, trying to figure out where I was supposed to be when my dad called. I literally was trying to hit the ignore button, but accidentally hit the answer button. That phone call changed my life in many of the same ways that 9/11 changed others. I still have complete meltdowns if Maurice is so much as 10 mins calling or txting me when he is supposed to. I do not understand what the purpose was in the Lord taking those 11 brothers, nor do I understand why the world was so quick to blame them for something that they had no control over. It makes me so angry, and sad.

I understand how you feel. We lost a good friend in the 2005 BP plant explosion in Texas City and I lost a cousin in a Dow plant explosion at the age of 21. Makes you ask why.
