Grace is my BMC/Plott gyp. Garin (Daddy) is the BMC dog that I got from Nogalus Boy. Grace was really coming on strong in the bay pen, Garin is mostly a me-to bay dog, but will stop a runner if needed. What sucks is that I am going to be in Canada getting married while Grace is having her puppies, so my aunt Jolita will be acting as midwife LOL. Garin Grace (red gyp in front of Maurice)

It wasn't really a planned pregnancy, damn kids just couldn't wait... LOL As far as the pups, I have promised the pick of the Females to my grandpa, the pick of the males to my Greg Wynn, and the 2nd best female to my aunt Jolita.
The rest of the pups will be going to whoever will garuntee them a huntin home, as I want to see what this match will make since I don't hunt much...

Kind of like my first wedding dress fitting. Went and did that, got the dress off, back in my boots and jeans, and went huntin! You should have seen the Dallas people staring at a 5' 4'' GIRL driving a Ford Dually...
Ok y'all, enough with the jokes. Help me out... What do I do to be sure mom and pups are ok? Grace is an parvo puppy herself, REALLY do not want a repeat of that.

What kind of preg vit do I give her, and where do I get them.
What boosters, and when?
She is already on Black Gold Ultimate Puppy, has been on puppy all her life.

aim for b12, folic acid, and calcium the last few weeks of pregnancy for puppy growth, start her on 2 boiled eggs every meal
but be careful about vitamin A it will cause alot of defects, keep on her flea meds and deff on her heartworm. talk to a local vet and find out when shots will be needed

ill get in touch with one of my sisters they will tell me more on what vitamin to use, i know b12 is really good to build strong pups it helps with their stress level thoughout the pregnancy, but i will let oyu know what else

First parvo is at six weeks. You are just stressed. Take a deep breath. I have had many litters that never saw a vet and they all made it. But with parvo now I don't play. I would just talk to your vet and give the vet's number to your Aunt. Let your aunt worry about it and focus on your wedding. Let your aunt earn her puppy. Now I will try to hold off on the picking but no promises.

Dub, you know better than anyone that I don't mind being picked on, it makes me giggle. LOL
I know that many litters have been born, but Grace is my miracle child, she should have technically been dead 3 times. She got Parvo, then she got kicked in the head by a horse and knocked out for 10 mins, and then month fell out of the back of the truck...

Glass half empty girl, if she Don made it thru all that, she'll be fine if she's on black gold puppy, I wouldn't worry to much about supplemental vitamins, and though some people add calcium, there are some veterinary studies to show that additional calcium can actually impede milk production. In all honesty, outside of regular worming and flea control, just put her in a whelping box in a safe quiet place and let nature take its course Good luck, and don't worry

I try to pick on people that can take it But really unless there is something strange dogs normally have easy births. So have the vet's number but it should not be needed. I thought you were tiny. At 5'4" you are about as tall as my mom and she can put a woop'n on people that get out of line. Don't make me come up with tiny smack talk You are alright in my book and the pups should be fine.

1st litter and new environment? Make sure she has a welping box/spot well clear of any other dogs to start with. A stress free environment for her 1st litter is more important than anything else you can do for her at welping time.
