I have been hog hunting 5 years now.  I dont know everything about it either, I am still learning.
I assume a Barr is a boar that has been cut and releasd?  Does a Barr fight like a Boar?
I know they grow better teeth but do they still stay pissed off at the world like a Boar hog?

I havent caught but one or two but my dad has caught many of em and he says they will have bigger teeth but they do not act as mad as a hog that hasnt been cut. He also tells me that most of the  barred hogs teeth usually grow back below their eye and alot of times cant cut a dog.

The baddest hog I ever encountered, one catch dog on it, was a little 150# barr hog. We've got several big ones over the years and they all put up heckuva fight. All the ones i've caught tend to stand there ground more... and not break and run and break and run like a lot of boars do.

I know folks that cut any size boar hog they catch.

I make one cut down the middle of the sack, cut through the membrane of each testicle, pull it out and cut the cord. Make sure the cut in the sack is low, so it will drain. The hog will go pack in mud and heal just fine.

Be careful turning them loose. I've been chased a couple of times and seen a bunch of others treed... 99 times out of a 100 they're gonna come see you! Shocked
