I thought that the hawaii team was the team with the most sense. Swinehunter was at the house today and asked me if i saw the rope on the hog on the golf course? We looked at the footage and sure enough the hog had a rope tied to his back leg who does that? The hog was tied to a tree and you can see it clear as daywhen the catch dog grabs him then this other yahoo was cutting the rope and handing it to the guys like he was handing it to them to tie it with.

I havent watched it yet, but my buddy said that one of the hogs the Florida guys was rigged....
Said there was 3 guys on the hunt, and once they showed the dogs go after the hog you could see a light up there
where it was at... then once the camera guy gets there, theres 4 guys and different guy is holding the hogs legs...  Huh?

Like i said, i havent seen it, but i know what im gonna be looking for when i do!!!

I knew the show was crappy, but to pull some stunts like that is just pathetic...  Angry

One thing i've noticed  is that the big black hog that the florida guys catch, and walked right up to it and it didnt run, is the same hog in about 3 different shows from what i can tell. Someones pet that they borrow to make them look good.  And last night.....the great dane was having problems with the one big boar by himself, but they had another cd there on a leash. Why wouldnt they let him go to help out?? GOOD WAY TO GET A YOUNG DOG HURT.........

A post that stood out to me on the Discovery blog.

They eat hippies? Send more to California. I would rather live with the hogs than the hippies.

Last night was my first time to watch it and it was a joke. They all acted like it was their first time to hog hunt. I don't even know what to say about the guys from Florida. I seen the Dane having trouble and wondered the same thing why not turn the other dog loose. But that wouldn't be one out style would it!

I took UglyDogs advice and stopped recording the show altogether.  Don't watch it live or recorded anymore.  But there's hardly a day go by someone, knowing that I have hog dogs, asks me if I've seen the show.  I tell 'em I don't wanna talk about it so don't get me started.  Then they usually start laughing and making fun of the L3 team.
Folks, these aren't hog hunters, these are regular working men and women that know nothing about the sport except what they read and see in the media.  It's embarassing to me for people to think that this is what real hog hunting is like and how it's done.  And they pick out the same silly crap that every hog hunter on this board picks at, so they notice it too and know it's goofy stuff.   Undecided  I'll continue to boycott the show and when the topic arises, I will continue to defend the real hog doggers out there.  I know we all hunt a little different, in different types of terrain, with different breeds of dogs, and that's okay.  People have to hunt the way that suits their needs, period.
Just think how many people across America now believe that that show is a true repensentation of our sport?

After reading here about last weeks episode, I took a differnt tact. Its recorded and I fast forward thru most of it, but slow down when they are ( all three groups ) standing around looking at a hog, to see if I can spot any more leg ropes.

The one thing that stood out to me was the hunt in what appeared to be the Hill Country and the catch with chingos of what seems to be red yaupon berries up and down that little road.

I watched the whole episode in about 10 minutes. They way they all talk and the things they are saying has gotten sillier if that is possible.

But did anyone see the episode of Swamp Brothers where they were catching those shoats in the dark by hand and with ropes because they didnt want to hurt them? That is in Florida too.

I didnt see that one yet..... Or how many times do L3 turn them dogs loose when they see the hogs and come up empty handed? Thats the reason i run bay dogs to find the hogs for me, im not gonna go and spotlight till i see them and then cut loose, and maybe catch one. I wanna catch n dogs to roll out n stick with em for more catchin.

If you look real close on those florida pigs, their top tusks are missing. The episode where that big black boar stayed in the same spot while they took lunch and got more dogs.... the guy who's property that was is a coon hunter. He prolly was feeding that pig off of his coon feeders and gave them an easy kill. 99.9% of America who watches that show prolly thinks those on there are the cream of the crop. I like the hawiian guys a little. But what do I know.

Not sure if they would or wouldn't but they need to get some footage of the Texas Team catching some hogs some way. They get outran or get into too much hog scent and can't seem to line one out. So it would make me believe that for entertainment purposes they might run in a small training pen to get some much needed footage.

I can't understand how they are looking at hogs, but can't get their dogs on em. I'm not one to judge another mans dogs, but I got some pups that can do better than that. Not to mention that these people are getting paid to do what cost me tons of money. I think I'm going about this in the wrong direction. Lol
