I'm hoping to come, I don't know if I'll run any dogs, I've never even been to a baying let alone run my dogs. They might catch out or they might try to climb out of the pen. lol

Levi, after watching all them dogs bayin, we may have to make a hunt afterwards!!  Wink

I may have to throw ol Festus in the bayin.... hopefully they will have some good size hogs, hes bad about catching anything in a pen, but only smaller ones in the woods...

bmc2010 - you can only run your dog one time in the 1 dog, in the 2 dog you may run your dogs as many times as you want as long as it is with a different dog each time.  If you run more that once in the 2 dog you must declare which run is for highpoint before the event starts, if you don't it will automatically be the first run.  Hope this helps..

Levi - hope to see you here, would like to talk to you about the youth thing Dusty was telling me you were thinking about..

t.wilbanks - I bay my dogs on them, the hogs here are treated alot like the dogs, they have to be good are they can't eat here..there is a culling process practiced on them also.

Big Chris, are the hogs good sized??

lmao!!!! fellas the hogs in these pens are what we woods guys dream of catching everytime we turn out! for u fellas that have fear ur dogs will catch out im seeing in ur future some dogs that may learn a lesson or two. autry and kelley take as much pride in there hogs as they do there dogs. look at it this way, there in it to be the best, so why would they wanna settle for anything other then the rankest hogs available? there trien to raise and run the best dogs possible, for that to happen they have to face off against the best hogs possible!!! i may be stepping out there wrong, but i lost one of my best woods dog in that pen to a good hog, this hog had dubbed teeth but knew what he was doen, just keep in mind that this pen of hogs is as rank as any hogs in the woods, but with more knowledge of a dog. so to answer your question YES THESE HOGS HAVE SIZE TO THEM!!! maybe u should post a cpl of pics for these guys to see.

If i remember correctly, i thought my dog was gonna catch the small hog that i drew at the last baying, and boy was i wrong. Those Little Arkansas hogs are BAD to the Bone! Kelley and Autry have a good set of hogs, and put on one of the best bayings around.

Big Chris, yes we take great pride in our hogs, without them you can't have those truly great pen dogs..jmo..  These hogs are athletes and are treated as such, they are wormed, doctored and are feed a diet to make sure that they reach their full potential.  The teeth are dubbed and rounded, but they can still hurt a dog just from power alone.  I recommend vests not because I'm worried about your dogs getting cut (though there is always that chance) but because it helps cushion some of the blows.

Spencer, I think I told you that you did not have to worry about catching out if you drew the small hog, didn't I?  If you're a hog here and you get into the line-up at under 200 lbs. you are definitely able to hold your own.

If any of ya'll are friends with me on facebook I have pics of some of the hogs in my albums.

I'm glad to hear the hogs are top notch. My old and young dogs had a perfect bay goin at central Tex pen last month then caught and DQ'ed in the last 15 sec. And it was a pretty rough 200+ lb'er

First off, I want to say thanks for all the interest.

But I want to be clear on some things so there aren't any misunderstandings.

1. There is not a hog alive that can't be caught!!!
2. There is not a hog alive that a perfect can't be bayed on.
3. There is not a dog alive that can't make a mistake.

Both my husband and I firmly believe this. We aren't promising anyone that you won't catch out.  What we are promising is that if you run here you will...

1. be baying as even a set of hogs as possible. This means that they will match in each round. Our judge or Autry have the power to pull any hog that isn't matching out of the rotation. They will also pull any hog that becomes injured out of the line up.
2. They will be well maintained and healthy hogs.
3. Their teeth will be dubbed.  My husband does each hog personally and checks to make sure that nothing gets broke or chipped while going through the shutes.  In saying this, please understand that I'm not promising that nothing will get cut just letting ya'll know that in the 4 bays that he's been in charge of hogs for there has not been a dog cut.
4. You are not going to be asked to put your dogs on a hog that has not been bayed before.  Every hog that goes into the line up here has been bayed by our dogs.  Just a side note... every hog in the past that has been used in a bay here has had a perfect bayed on it by atleast 2 different dogs that live here.
5. The rules that are posted when you sign up are what you are judged on!! Not what your dog has done in the past or who you are, but the bay that your dog does that day in front of our judge. If you would like a set of rules send me a pm with your address and I will mail you a copy.  The more info you have on what you're being docked for the better your chances of winning are.
6. We really do want everyone to leave thinking that the best dog that day won and that they had a great time.

Hope this helps...Kelley

Ben, I LOVED that dog.  She caught a hog with her little 45 lb. self that some of my 90 lb. plus dogs couldn't catch?? Shocked Shocked Shocked

Dangerzone, walk walk and walk them some more before they go into the pen, can also try not feeding them the day of the bay until after the bay is over.  This is actually a good practice anyway so they don't have anything rough in their digestive tract...jmo

Hot stuff does a dam good job on the teeth and matching the hogs up. I have trained some of my dogs well most of my dogs on some of the hogs there when big Chris said they are a good size hogs he is telling the truth. I hope to see a lot of old bay pen friends and maybe meet some new ones.
