 Where we hunt there is pressure from dogs but also a lot of pressure from hunters that ride around looking for hogs to shoot. I believe that the hogs that run, survive and then produce babies that run also.

 It doesn't take hogs long to adapt. If you hunt them a lot during the day, they become nocturnal and vice versa. They also have been seen walking right past a trap full of corn after a few hogs have been trapped.

 Boars that have been caught by dogs and then barred and released are harder to catch. They also are known for being dog smart.

Hogs are smart and they are survivalists.  Grin
