Man I was getting my oil changed today and a guy came in and wanted an inspection done they said nope your windows are too dark.  Me and the guy that works there got to talking and he said if we pass him and get caught it is a 10000 or 15000 dollar ticket for the service station and he said the same for straight pipe.  Said it aint worth it.

By definition a turbo on a diesel is a muffler. I'll have to check my law book and give you the exact statute number. Me and a buddy of mine had this same conversation the other night. In the definition of muffler in the law book it has something in there just for diesel engines. I'll find the definition and statute number and post them later.

Look... What I would do is keep the same lic and if anybody says anything. Tell them you own two houses one in tx and one in la. Tell them your job keeps you going back and forth each month....then you won't have to change it over...

Yea i'll probably do that, i do still own my house in LA so that will work!! Thanks

Section 541.203 of the Texas transportation code defines a muffler as:
  (3) "Muffler" means a device that reduces noise using:
          (A) a mechanical design, including a series of chambers or baffle plates, to receive exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine; or
          (B) turbine wheels to receive exhaust gas from a diesel engine.
