I finally have something to contribute Cheesy I was beginning to believe that I was bad luck since every time I piled in we came home empty handed, although we did happen to catch two sows weekend before last but the dogs over heated on one so she came trotting out of the cane and then the other was 600yds off so needless to say I didnt get to see her.

We went Friday night and came home empty handed  Angry  Sunday morning we got up and dogs loaded making it to the cane about 6.45, as we are driving down the road we were talking about how the hogs could only be moving in the early morning because my husband sees them on his way to work and we havent jumped anything in over two months at night....just then we spot a hog ambling down one of the roads so we drive on up and by that time he had already went into the cane so we put Goober, Tana and Chance out.  They ran him for over 45 minutes and over a mile before they finally ended up in a ditch.

We drive around to the other side the dogs are giving him heck so we send the CD in, some how he ends up coming out of the ditch with Tana on his rear and they get him caught on the road...by this time all dogs are give out including the CD, I did a horrible job hobbling him this time and he was a brute, matter of fact we havent loaded one this big with just us since my husband got cut a year and a half ago and to be quite honest I had flash backs but we got him in the  trailer.  Poor old Goober just doesnt have much of a back up and bay button so he is on the recovery list again and sleeping in my laundry room, I told my husband he needs to just retire him and let him hang out but he just gets depressed if he doesnt go at least once a month....the down side is things like this happen!

I had the camera ready as we were driving to them so I got some pretty good shots this time!

And a sunset from a storm on Wednesday night....it was a crazy yellow color afterwards!

He had both and one tooth that is going to grow straight out when it gets a little longer so I imagine he is going to be a dang dog wrecker as it was about an inch and a half Undecided he was definately a dang athlete.

I would have gladly taken it on our side of the lake - it blew right through the other night - today is the first day we have gotten any rain worth talking about!  That pic was from Clewiston since I was down there all last week, it was crazy weather so Tornados wouldnt have surprised me....it kinda boogers me lol

Did you do any good tonight?  I seen the pics of your young hogs at the feeder on your thread.

NOPE got called around 730 when i was sitting down to dinner and was told i had to be at work at 4am instead of 10, so i had to be up by 230 and leave the house by 3.  Kinda put a kink in the hunting

Good pics and I am glad to see some water in them! It is sooo dry here. We need rain bad. Be careful in this heat, they say over 100 degrees here today and heat index of 115-116......thats just too hot to hunt for me!

Thanks all, Goober is healing good....I am giving the hydro therapy a shot this time :/ his legs concerned me due to one of them being so close to the tendon like Spaz's gyp but he is much better plus he is a tough old coot lol.

When I showed my husband the pics he asked when in the heck I had time to take them lol  Grin. Last weekend the ditches and retention ponds were bone dry but the pumps were running and ditches full....we see gators in any form of water lol one crossed the road about a half a mile from where we caught the big hog that as atleast 10 ft and they are HUNGRY!

Warrent, my husband grew up next to Levi and he taught him all that he knows today....he is a good family friend and all of our dogs are either directly from his current dogs or some we have bred but are related to his old dogs.  We do 99% of our hunting in the cane whether its cut or tassled out we do not discriminate.
