I just got done watching the whole thing. It was a very long movie, but a good one. Don't know that it trumps Gladiator though. Just saying.  |

I've watched it more times than can remember, and every time i think of my grt. grndfather who i never got to meet but heard stories about how he came to Tx. as a teenager from La. in the late 1860's to Bastrop Co. and worked on several cattle drives as a young man into the 1870's driving cattle from Tx. to Abilene Ks. His name was Alcide DeGlandon. We still have family reunions in McDade,Tx. to this day.
